Join us as we talk about the future of resuscitation with emergency physician, resuscitation scientist, and EMS physician champion, Dr. Michael Kurz. Dr. Kurz is an Associate Professor at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in the Department of Emergency Medicine and Department of Surgery.
Dr. Kurz serves as Immediate-Past Chair of the AHA Emergency Cardiac Care Subcommittee on Systems of Care and has contributed to the ECC guidelines since 2010. He regularly reviews for Circulation, Resuscitation, Critical Care Medicine, and has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed articles in resuscitation science. Dr. Kurz’s research interests are focused upon intra- and post-arrest care including coagulation dysfunction, optimizing hemodynamic support, and rehabilitation for survivors.
