החידוש של אדה"ז מרומז בשמו "שניאור" – "שני אור", שעל ידו נעשה ההתאחדות (שם אחד) בין ב' הענינים ב"תורה אור" – תורת הנגלה ופנימיות התורה, ועיקר הענין ד"יפוצו מעינותיך חוצה" התחיל לאחר הגאולה די"ט כסלו. בבוא י"ט כסלו בכל שנה חוזרים ונשנים כל הענינים שהיו בי"ט כסלו בפעם הראשונה, ומשנה לשנה ניתוסף בזה "אור חדש" – כמ"ש אדה"ז באגה"ק בנוגע ל"ראש השנה" שמידי שנה מיתוסף "אור חדש" שלא בערך אפילו לגבי "ראש השנה" בפעם הראשונה! דמזה מובן גם בנוגע לי"ט כסלו אשר הוא "ראש השנה" לתורת החסידות והנהגה בדרכי'. וכ"הנשיא (ש)הוא הכל" – נמשכים כל עניני אדה"ז ל"הכל", והם "כלים" לזה, אלא שכל א' צריך לעשות את ההכנה לפי כחו, ובאופן ד"עמדו הכן כולכם"; ע"י הענין ד"יפוצו מעיונותיך חוצה" – שזה גם מאחד את כל בנ"י, ובמיוחד בי"ט כסלו שהוא "יום זכאי", "יום סגולה", "חג החגים", חקוק כ"מועד קבוע" לכל הדורות! – "קאתי מר דא מלכא משיחא" בזריזות!

The Alter Rebbe’s name, Shneur, means “Two lights” (“Shnei or”). This encapsulates the Alter Rebbe’s contribution to the world – he combined the two dimensions of the “Torah of light” (the revealed dimension and the inner dimension) into one (just like the words “Two lights” form one name). The “spreading of the wellsprings outward” began primarily after the liberation on 19 Kislev, the Rosh Hashanah of Chassidus; every year when this day arrives, everything that occurred the first year recurs and is renewed, and every year a new light is added that is incomparably greater than that of the year before, as the Alter Rebbe writes in Iggeres HaKodesh about Rosh Hashanah. And just as “the Nasi is everything,” all of the Alter Rebbe’s work and teachings extend into “everything,” but every individual must make the proper preparation according to his ability, in the manner of “Standing ready, all of you.” By spreading the wellsprings outward (which also unites the entire Jewish people), especially on 19 Kislev, which is a “meritorious day,” a “treasured day,” the “festival of festivals,” and which is fixed as a “permanent festival” for all generations – “the Master will come – King Moshiach” speedily.
