宗生還記得小時候，全家人會一起禱告、點唱喜歡的讚美詩，父母藉由這樣的方式，帶宗生和弟弟來到神面前，學習認識、敬拜獨一真神；但父親的離世，讓宗生對神產生埋怨、懷疑，他離開教會，想用自己的方式尋找神。還好慈愛的神緊緊抓住他，引導他重新在真教會敬拜神，並和屬靈同伴一起同工。這段服事的過程，讓宗生看到神的權能和自己的軟弱，更種下專職事奉的種子……。
