Pai In The Sky

In Pai,

Trippin’ at an open mic sipping on a coconut chai,

In the zone finally feeling at home totally at peace,

Right here where I find myself getting lost in your eyes,

Who would have known all we had to do to find peace was leave Babylon,

Who would have thought the price of freedom was the price of a flight,

Now we’re right here together the place we left is just distant memories,

& we’re with some new friends plus something to smoke so please pass the light,

Had to get lost to get found,

Had to feel wrong to get right,

Had to leave what we left behind,

to find out we were right all along all it took was a flight,

the truth is that the truth always eventually comes to the light,

all it takes is a bit of patience & a whole lot of time,

You will find exactly what it is you’ve been searching for,

All you have to do to get it is get outside & get out from inside of your mind,

By whatever means necessary,

Think of time as a pizza how are you going to divide your pie,

Life’s a trip everyday’s someone’s birthday so there’s always a reason to celebrate,

So let’s light some candles & cut the cake who wants the first slice,

High, In the mountains of Thailand in this town called Pai,

I Dive, In a pool with no fountain just hot spring water the temperature is nice,

Healing my mind body & soul in hot spring waters,

Mineral water so pure & desired,

That people in the cities would buy it by the bottle,

But here in this town we swim in it for free no receipts or hires,

We’re higher,

We’re old soul enjoying not new employees so we are higher not hired,

We are the River’s water,

We are the Sun’s fire,

We are the Moon’s glow, the Star’s shine,

The Earth’s children, the Conscious mind,We are divine, we are alive,

Pai is the place now is the time,

Allow the divine to be channeled when we straighten our spines,

Allow the mind to be untangled while we dine on mango sticky rice,

Make memories right now that define what it really means,

To truly be alive & live your life,

Taking jungle drives to waterfalls,

where we bathe in crystal water under vanilla skies & watch butterflies fly by,

under the indigo blue hues of radiant rainbow spring days,

& the dark violets of electric thunder summer nights,

Buddha statues & majestic venues,

Pad Thai & Bahn Mi,

See living enslaved in a city is expensive in more ways than one,

But living liberated in the forest is so cheap it’s basically free,

Can live for two months here,

For what I would spend back in Babylon in less than a week,

Plus here there’s an abundance of unconditional love,

& a sense of infinite peace,

Poppy seeds & coffee beans,

Seeds of dreams & surreal scenes,

In paradise at Paradise with a chic named Dragonfly fire dancing,

Some mushroom chai with fungi & fun guys philosophizing,

Silly high men on psilocybin no virgins no hymens,

Only experienced peeps that have experienced some things,

Been through Hell already so we deserve this Heaven,

Now let me relax and stretch out my Angel wings,

With other super powered human beings,

Got good vibes & we’re vibing drums beat & bells ring,

All in together one big band the sound of music sounds amazing,

& my friend these are some of my favorite things,

Motorbikes & mango smoothies,

Waterfalls & dirt roads,

Magic mushrooms & magic people,

At Ohm Cafe mid day munching on some avocado toast,& I know better than most,

That we all sometimes get depressed,

& that’s why it’s all the more important,

To take time away from yourself & others just to decompress,

You’ve been through a lot dear child,

You had to grow up way too fast I must confess,

You have a lot of thoughts that keep you awake at night,

So you deserve to be in a place where you can just rest,

In a place where we are too blessed to stress,

Where you can find a friend to confide in & confess,

Where you can raft down a river have a delicious dinner,

& still have time to ride to Pai Canyon & see a most beautiful sunset,

So let’s do what we want,

Let’s take a walk down walking street,

Let’s swing by the cafe with no name,

You know the one on the corner with the big clay pots of tea,

Let’s philosophize over chess & oolong,

I don’t usually smoke but tonight I’ll take a hit,

Not sure if there’s a Heaven after we die,

But here on Earth this is about as close as it gets,

Gotta give love to get love so give love and love is what you’ll get,

and if there is a Heaven on Earth this has got to be it,

Don’t ask me how,

Don’t ask me why,

Just take this time to take the time,

To appreciate this shared moment of our lives,

Right now right here in Pai,
