no world outside pastor valentine countess Brighton and Hackney in the bath bit late today going to work but worked really hard last night I'm really hard tonight so I'm having a bit of a lazy day I was going to stay in bed till four but I don't know tues bit of a deadline I think for me um anyway last night absolutely brilliant we did open mic at goddamn media and that's the lewis Road venue and lots and lots and lots of new people came who it's funny isn't when you when you live in a town you think I know everybody it's the sinners the same old same old as you don't know anybody there's so few people I've met here so lots are not some new people came new faces couple through facebook but mostly through the meetups thing and that i

joined the other day interesting people with lots of really interesting things to say so it's nice that I've kind of got out of that whole party scene and moved into something much more serious because actually although I host lots and lots of parties I think deep down I might be a serious individual and I really really get off on creativity and I really get off on knowing people and discovering new things and looking at talin and I'm really responsive towards other
people's talent it excites me interesting it fascinates me because it doesn't come from my

head so yeah there were lots of people doing poetry that I'd never heard there was a guy an Italian guy and he was doing kind of recitals a narrator maybe I could describe him as so it wasn't poetry or rhyme it was quite a long piece actually probably about 20 minutes it is on our speaker radio everything from yesterday from the open mic to you if you pan around on spring he will be able to find it and he did this whole piece and he did to actually did one about procrastination I don't think we recorded that one I think we'll do that one next week and the other one I honestly can't remember what it was called now but yeah that that's on the week we've basically we recorded for an hour and then we turned it off because otherwise the

program can go on such a long time and I think after an hour people's concentration maybe gives up a little bit so what we're going to do every week at open mic is get everybody to do one or two pieces that they're particularly proud of or that they want to you know they've got a message and important message or something like that and then we'll record that on this on the radio channel god damn open mic that is and then after that we'll turn the recording device off and it can just be a little bit you know a little bit free or ever also we've decided not to record that in-between bits you know like the brakes because although

we love the world in the world is a wonderful place and although goddamn media is actually about true archives people forget that they're being recorded and you know sometimes they can say things that perhaps they didn't want you know 60 millions of people to hear and I don't get me wrong we haven't got 60 million viewers or listeners yet but we will have in about 40 years because they're going to study goddamn radio and goddamn media and everything that we put on the venue they're going to study it in you nice all over the world so trust me if you want to be part of the archive that the world archives that will probably last for a millennium get down to the get down to the venue and do some stuff with us so yeah met another lady who'd hurt does kind of talks and workshops about I think it's kind of

relinquishing control over all the an obsession with control and using that to create art at least that's how she's that's how she's going to bill it when she does events in the future because she's booking know what she's cooking a weekly regular and two day workshop so she's sort of connecting it with art I don't necessarily think that that's entirely what she does I think how relinquishing control thing is more about personality happiness and other stuff so her name was Eve and she comes from something called the path and so

very spiritual lady that was very very interesting and she was lovely to talk to and we'll be seeing a lot of her I think we're talking about putting on a regular a Tuesday night thing I'm going to talk to her about hopefully it being free because um I'm not sure the venue and what I'm trying to do at the moment is to get lots of people to do lots of things but I don't want people just to use the venue to make money when obviously I need to make the money to pay the rent so hopefully that would be free the workshop won't be I imagine and she's published author I she knows her stuff and who else there was another guy called Matt he was needed some lovely stuff quite kind of more festively type a little bit rappy can I hope he doesn't mind me saying that but you know that kind of mood so we basically we had just right across the board so many different wordsmiths doing so many different things and that made it

especially exciting I think so yeah if you can have a listen to the radio program so yeah have my lion and today I'm going to get ready my eyelashes turns up yesterday like a lifetime supply of handmade eyelashes from Japan not quite a lifetime supply clothes because when you've got lots you tend to get more and more disposable don't they and I'm not sure that I'll use the same pair twice in the same way that I have done before when a pair of eyelashes got me a tenor and I'm like no there is no way I'm only wearing you for four [ __ ] hours and then taking you off so anyway they all they all arrived in a box from Japan so is really pleased about that and and tonight we have got a private view at goddamn media eight louis road I thought you should commit that to memory all of you actually and two doors down for the post office

seven o'clock refreshments cake and goodbye some cake on route run porridge not that many people eat that at seven o'clock on a Friday but we've got all sorts of things like that and we've gotta talk for an eminent psychologists psychiatrists person--i person thing from Sussex uni I'm not sure he's a psychiatrist as I think I think it's a more academic thing that he does but anyway he's one of the tutors there and he's talking about human consciousness I think that's built for about 7 30 I haven't met him maria's met him at apparently he's wonderful wonderful wonderful man she was singing his praises so that might be worth coming down for if you're into the kind of I mean the concept of the show is a human consciousness and but of course that's different to spirituality and which you know we've been discussing earlier in the week but I think that's going to be really really exciting and I think he comes at it from a scientific approach this dude so that should be really good and the six the six seven artists who've put their work up they okay mr. de few dramas you know the drill wouldn't well the drill didn't

arrive actually so somebody had to go buy a drill and it needed a hammer action because one of the walls are just completely solid concrete so you know those sort of dramas and then I'd written on the walls in indelible ink in a marker pen and you know the details about all my work I took my work down but I couldn't get this bloody stuff off and fifty shades of white paint I mean I had so many white paints and none of them were the right color match so that was a little bit of a drama as well so next week big pot of like cheap industrial sized white paint that is always the same color that I can rely on and because we're putting on a show every week and every week everything needs patching up the holes need filling and the white needs

replacing so and but yeah these artists are pretty amazing some of them have traveled a long way to put their work up I so be really cool if you could get down to see that I'll take I'll do some photos and stuff later but you just don't get the same vibe from in a YouTube video as you would from actually coming and meeting everybody and meeting the people who offer someone at my door I'm not going to let them in [ __ ] I'm just going to ignore that thing as I'm in the bath I'm sick of getting out this bathroom anyway yeah so that was that and tonight seven o'clock probably at about ten if you can make it and then tomorrow cat cafe I think I might go down to cat cafe just to chill out a bit a little bit and do some PR and stuff I haven'

t got a party on tomorrow so I'm just going to chill at the venue might stay there a bit late and although the girls for the event on Sunday which is the charity event for International Women's Day and opposing genital female genital mutilation that kicks off quite early they're all arriving here at ten o'clock to prep for everything on Sunday so yeah that really looking forward to that as well might be a long day i'm going to have a 12-hour shift we've got a license for that gig so i'm going to be serving lots of shots and lots of you know gene teas and nice ladies drinks and i did buy you know ten crates of beer just in case i mean i hope it's well one attended by guys

just because its celebrating international women's day doesn't mean to say it's a women's only event that would be far far from the truth I really I'm not really into single-sex events at all and so yeah that's my weekend ahead not sure i'll do a diary post tomorrow and got some people coming tonight actually to book exhibitions and talk about stuff they're going to do with a gallery space and lots and lots of members as well potential members wow really really exciting there's only a hundred plan to join which is like
