Dr. Paolo Campana, University of Cambridge

Dr Paolo Campana is a University Lecturer in Criminology and Complex Networks at the Institute of Criminology, University of Cambridge. Paolo's work specialises in organised crime, human trafficking, modern slavery and migrant smuggling. He has a strong interest in the application of network analysis techniques to the study of organised forms of criminality.

He is currently working on the issue of trafficking and smuggling of human beings into Europe as well as organised crime in local communities in the United Kingdom. His recent work has appeared in the British Journal of Criminology, Theoretical Criminology, European Journal of Criminology, Rationality and Society, European Journal on Criminal Policy and Research, Policing, Trends in Organised Crime, Global Crime, and Methodological Innovations, and it has been translated into Chinese, French and Italian.

Dr Barak Ariel, University of Cambridge and Hebrew University, Jerusalem

Dr Barak Ariel is a Lecturer in Experimental Criminology, a Lecturer in Criminology at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel, and a Jerry Lee Fellow of Experimental Criminology at the Institute of Criminology of the University of Cambridge. Dr Ariel is involved in evaluation research projects with a large number of criminal justice agencies around the world, including the United States, England and Wales, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, Northern Ireland, Costa Rica, and Israel, to name a few. He was the recipient of the Academy of Experimental Criminology Young Experimental Scholar Award for his work in experimental criminology. His main interests include hotspot policing, organised criminal groups, deterrence, interagency collaborations, and technology in policing.

Adam Ramiz, Surrey Police

Adam Ramiz graduated from the Nottingham Law School in 2002 with an LLB (Hons) degree in Law. Since 2006 he has worked for Surrey Police and is currently a Detective Sergeant with the Sexual Offences Investigation Team.
