This episode explores educational leadership from the perspective of educational support.  As they say, ‘it takes a village to raise a child’. The educational system is an example of this.  There are often many agencies working together to ensure the education, safety and welfare of a child or young person is secure and in place. This is our modern-day village, putting the child at the centre.

I am in conversation, this week, with Laverne Noel an Alternative Provision Manager. She commissions education for children who, because of Illness, exclusion or other circumstances cannot access mainstream school settings.

Laverne is passionate about her work with young people. She strives daily to ensure children have access to education despite any potential barriers.  Her approach to leadership is a human one, listen, reflect and motivate.
