014: Be Smarter than the Voices Around You - Posnie's Corner
Description
Our experience as a part of the LGBTQ+ community has taught us how painful it is to hear shameful words. People criticize and blame us. As a result, we deny the real person inside ourselves for fear of being judged. But we must be smarter than the voices around us and accept who we are.
In this episode, David Posner shares his coming-out story and the struggle of accepting himself as gay. He talks about the time he realized that he was a good person who deserved to be loved. David also touches on the trauma children feel from their parents and the pain of hearing shameful words. Finally, he gives a piece of advice to children, parents, and allies of the queer community.
