Description

We may often hear or remember the classic parkour-associated phrase, “Be strong to be useful.” Perhaps we even deeply admire this sentiment. In her SPARK, "On Self-Altruism, Parkour, and Being Useful," Brandee will explore how viewing parkour through the lenses of altruism can exist and inspire, and what we as practitioners may assist with and achieve when we make practices of being useful.

Brandee Laird is a dedicated and deliberate practitioner and instructor of parkour and l’art du deplacement who is based out of Seattle, USA with Parkour Visions. Throughout her 13 years of experience amongst parkour communities internationally, she has determined that there’s always more to learn and grow. She is well known for her thoughtful approaches to teaching and is passionate about elevating the quality of classes and student experiences.

The 2019 Art of Retreat North America is brought to you by our supporting sponsors: Parkour Visions, Enso Movement, Parkour Generations Americas, Zen Planner, Dynasty Fitness, and Movers Mindset.
