In Ghostly’s twenty-fifth episode, Pat and Rebecca explore one of the most haunted hotels in America, the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Florida, just outside of Miami. Not only is the Biltmore one of the most beautiful hotels, but it also houses so many ghosts that parts of the hotel are only rented when there is no other choice. Is the Biltmore haunted?

Questions explored in this episode:

What is the history of the Biltmore? Who are the ghosts that
are seen most frequently at this hotel? Who were the mobsters that operated out
of the hotel? What happened to Thomas “Fatty” Welch? What happened to the hotel
during WWII for soldiers? How do the ghosts appear to guests? What happens with
the 13th floor? Is the 4th floor also haunted? Is the
elevator haunted? What do the maids do to keep the spirits away when they
clean? Who is Linda Spitzer? What happened when paranormal investigators held a
séance? Is the Biltmore haunted?

New Segment: Listener Mail and Questions! Listen to our first
listener story! Submitted by Audrey Boerma, this story details some VERY creepy
poltergeist sightings and happenings in her home. Have a story of your own? Send
your story or question to info@ghostlypodcast.com and we might read it on the air. You
can also email us individually at pat@ghostlypodcast.com or rebecca@ghostlypodcast.com. You could be on a future episode of Ghostly!

After listener mail, listen to Rebecca tell a ghost story
inspired by a real story from the Biltmore!

Then, listen to hear Pat give the history of the Biltmore Hotel with comments from Rebecca. We learn the answers to our questions about how this amazing resort was built and what famous people have stayed there. The history of the Biltmore as a medical facility for soldiers and later a medical school. Also, hear about Linda Spitzer and her nights of telling ghost stories at the Biltmore.

Time for the debate! Rebecca shares
evidence of some of the most common ghost sightings at the Biltmore. Hear about
the employees and what they see, the man at the foot of the bed, the woman in
white, and the gangster who holds court throughout the hotel, but especially on
the 13th floor. Pat, of course, has a response to all of these.

Be sure to stay for the whole
episode to hear the “Closing Arguments” to help you make your choice before
voting.
