#027 - Alan Tran | Peer Pressure
Update: 2020-04-15
Description
How do our organizations change in the presence of others? Social influences play a large role in how we move, think, and interact with our environments. In his "Peer Pressure - A Social Context Through Movement" workshop, Alan will help participants explore the delicate constructs that manifest between social chemistry and movement. We will observe, play, and reflect on our interactions utilizing tools garnered from parkour, Laban Method, contact improv, and more.
After stumbling across parkour on the internet in 2006, Alan Tran recognized fitness, and movement were the containers for him to help others explore themselves. He has worked to secure the North Carolina parkour community through a multitude of public gatherings, workshops, and service. While attending NC State University, he established the school-sanctioned parkour club. Alan founded Enso Movement to foster the growth and education of parkour, its values, and community. He continues to collaborate with athletes, artists, and designers on many projects including Summit Parkour Gathering, Art of Retreat, United States Parkour Association, and more. Whether teaching classes or studying movement, Alan firmly aspires to help everyone explore the depths of parkour and its values to reveal their truths.
