Imagine . . . hearing one of your homegirls complain about not having the time or the money to do something that would elevate her (scholastically, financially, health-wise) and solve a few of her more pressing challenges.
Now imagine . . . that this same friend, just dropped a huge chunk of change to see her favorite artist in concert. While there is no judgement here, I am giving my girl the side-eye.
In today's episode, I wanted to call out those of us who are happy to pour our money, our time and talent into others but not offering ourselves the same attention. It's time to let go of the excuses and stop putting things off. If you can invest in others, you can (and should) invest in yourselves as well.
