Description

We often look at those who succeed and wonder how they do it. From those who are at the top of their game in the sporting arena to those who have built incredibly successful businesses, we see this and tend to fall victim to comparison. People can use these successes as motivation, as stories to fuel their fire for achievement and wake up the next morning full of drive to succeed. Alternatively, these comparisons can negatively impact people's self esteem, lead them to staying in their comfort zone and looking for ways to keep other people from succeeding themselves. We love to watch and listen to people succeed, but very few are willing to do what is required to be truly great.

Bruce Kaider is the Founder and CEO of ONE Sports and Entertainment, a global agency working with amazing individuals and brands in the world of sport and entertainment. He has over 25 years of experience in business and sports, with and undeniable passion for helping people. He has worked within professional sporting organisations, international sporting events, start-ups and is now incredibly successful within the world of talent management. From NBA to Soccer to AFL to Music and TV and everything in between, BK is one of the best in the business at what he does.

In today's conversation, we look at how BK almost unintentionally found his way into his work, turning his "side hustle" into his "9-to-5" and why it is so important to understand anyone and everyone you come across in life. We explore the infinite quest for work/life balance and discuss whether it actually exists, and ask the question that even if we eventually find it, do we really want it? BK gives an insight into what makes those outliers in their profession so successful, how his morals and values have shaped his career and how those he works with need to "fit" within those.

BK is incredibly engaging and I learnt plenty being able to chew his ear off for an hour or so. I took plenty from our conversation and am looking forward to being able to share it with you all. You can get in touch with BK via Instagram at @bkaider or @one_sportsent.
