063 | What Planning My Wedding Has Taught Me About Running My Business
Description
The process of planning my wedding has been one of the most exciting processes I have ever gone through. Gav and I have been engaged for close to two years and the long engagement was 100% my idea because I wanted the opportunity to really take my time and enjoy being engaged. This has had the flow on effect of giving me a lot of time to reflect on my wedding planning process and I have noticed some key lessons that can be applied beyond the realm of weddings and events. So in this episode, I am sharing the 6 key lessons I have learnt while planning my wedding and what that’s taught me about running my business.
This includes:
- The importance of having a game plan and why you need to pre-plan the finer details.
- The role of branding and how much easier it is to make confident decisions when you have a clear brand identity.
- Why you need a support crew and a pro team (and what to look for).
- That it’s ok to shop around and try out different options, but once you make up you mind, 100% commit to it!
- How disconnecting from the outcome reduces overwhelm.
With just over a week until the big day, I am feeling calm. And that feels pretty darn good. That exactly how I want you to feel in your business too!
