Description

The benefits of movement have been well documented. From improved cardiovascular and musculoskeletal health, to injury prevention and a reduction in the chances of cancer and diabetes, consistent exercise is a vital aspect of living a much longer and happier life. Not just from a physical standpoint either. The effects of good movement on mental and emotional wellbeing are almost, if not more impactful than on our physical health, and we all want to live better.


Sam Waley is an accredited exercise physiologist with over 10 years of experience, and is the director of Medical High Performance (MedHP) in Highett, Victoria. He rowed competitively, for Australia and found his way into the industry as most do, after rehabilitating his own injuries. I first worked with Sam in 2014 while going through my own injury rehabilitation, and can confidently name him as the reason as to why I became a strength and conditioning coach, and in turn, a reason as to why "Chase Your Greatness" came about.


Sam has penned the book, "Age is an Attitude", providing an exercise guide for older people that outlines what happens to our body as we age, why it happens and what we can do to help counteract the ageing process. Along with that, he is a High Performance Coach for Nissan's V8 Supercars Team, Shell V-Power Racing and still works closely with a number of elite athletes across a range of sports. I'm incredibly fortunate to call Sam a mentor and a close friend and am genuinely excited to share his wisdom with all of you.
