Ben says he’s “less of a tyrant” when it comes to government and imposing his views on people, yet he argues against same-sex marriage and pro- abortion laws....

Alex McLean You’re right. I’ll admit that I spoke too soon about the same sex marriage part. Literally right after I commented on it they got to that part.

Brittanie Joseph in this podcast he says specifically that while he is against same sex marriage on a moral level he doesn't care if they get married by the state and have the same benefits traditional marriages get. I don't think they spoke about abortion though

You should all listen to the part about pot damaging brain development. You don't want to actually notice that you can't think effectively. Like some ability is missing in you. I've had that and I was blasted with negative emotion. You seek out brain exercise apps feverishly, or want to right then. I got over it to be honest.

Ryan King I smoked every day for pretty much the last 3 years, and woke up one morning and just decided to stop. I smoke every once in a while still but holy shit it feels so much better not being stoned 24/7 and it makes smoking more fun when it's not a constant thing. That being said though I do know a few people who smoke all day every day and they seem to be just fine, I just couldn't do it anymore 😂

How do beliefs on gay marriage not affect other people when its not recognized as legal?? those beliefs make those laws....

Joe: do you believe he (Jesus) resurrected? Ben: that’s not a Jewish belief. Me: but he asked if “you” believe... I feel like he didn’t answer the question? Maybe I’m reading into it to deep.

Carles Alcolea I think he knows its just a matter of faith, which is illogical (though not necessarily a bad thing) and pointless to argue. I actually respect that to some degree. More so than the pointless circular arguments some other religious people will get you into.

The Mind of Slade Well uh... He's Jewish, so he doesn't believe that. I mean he answered the question man... Do you need it spoon fed?

of course he doesn't like naturalistic explanation to religious text. because that would mean the texts were actually human made rules to prevent people from eating pig shit. lol this guy cracks me up

Ryan King can't be that intelligent if his rules come from a 3000(?) year old book. Some people just know how to sound smart.

I am curious about this so called "Judeo-Christian Values". If as stated, Jews don't believe in Jesus as the son of God (which is a pretty big tenet of Christianity) and Christian believe that the New Testament supersedes the Old Testament.....then what values are so specific to label them as Judeo-Christian? Do unto others? Just have always found it strange that two religions, which oppose the core basic belief of each other can be lumped together as a singular unit.

Joseph Brown if Christian's do believ the New Testament supersedes the old then they are wrong. Jesus himself said "do not think I came to abolish the law or prophets. I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill My biggest grief with Christianity is that it claims to follow Jesus exactly, yet it doesnt even practice his religion. Just doesnt make sense to me

Joseph Brown I think it supercedes where they differ, but it builds on and fulfills the promises of the Old Testament. It's not like Christians tossed the OT. That's still in their Bibles.

I learned a lot from listening to him. It's good to see that people can disagree without hating each other. I'm not a practicing Jew by any means but I like his point of view.

Too bad about the marijuana discussion. Joe was so set in his mind that this was going to be such a point of contention that he was blind to the fact that Shapiro was not actually disagreeing with him. Then, of course, he went into some of the woo-woo pot science that he never shies away from, which actually shifted the conversation rather than refuting what Shapiro was saying about, for lack of a better phrase, "shortcuts to self improvement."

Drew Adams I'm afraid I would have to re-download the pod and scroll through. Just skip through about 10 minutes at a time and you'll find it. The main thing to me is that on pot and a few other subjects, Joe was trying to develop some form of a debate when Shapiro was basically agreeing with him. Shapiro is fine w pot being treated like alcohol. But Joe kept looking for a toehold. Same with gay marriage.

I love Ben and Joe. Great episode. as a Conservative I agree with Ben,but this discussion that these two guys had illustrates why debating your views against someone who disagrees is the fabric of our Republic. Silencing opposing viewpoints is simply Un American

So let's get this straight, the Democratic party legalizes Gay Marriage. The Bible considers this a sin. So Joe and the Democrats want us to believe that the Bible is outdated and written by hallucinating men. WOW! I thought I heard it all from the Left, I was wrong.

Lac lol yeah. Mueller said there were no more indictments to be made, as shown by the evidence in his report. but not to worry, as soon as it's publicly released, a bunch of internet sleuths will comb through it and put together the pieces missed by the man and his team that spent over 2 years and millions of dollars working on it. can't wait, bro. and it's not just Trump supporters that aren't wearing your tinfoil hats. people like Glenn greenwald, who's as liberal as it gets, have called this whole thing embarrassing and the Dems need to drop it before they make themselves look even more foolish.
