Faith is of God and from God. It’s given to us by God from the hearing and understanding of his will revealed to us through his Word. Faith is what God gives us to use in order for his will to come to pass. Through faith we take hold of his promises. Through faith and the authority we have to speak in Jesus’ name, we call for his will to be done. Faith is given to us to use, to do his will, to do his work. Unless we are putting our faith to work, then what’s the point of having faith. Our faith is useless if we are not using it. Our motivation to use our faith, is always love. Because we love the Father, we want to do his will and that takes faith. Because we love others, we want to help them know and experience God’s will in their lives, and that also takes faith. Faith works by love.

Let’s look at the Word’s of Jesus in Mark 11:22 . 

(WEB) Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God.”

(YLT) And Jesus answering saith to them, `Have faith of God;”

Hebrews 6:12 (WEB) that you won’t be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherited the promises.

Galatians 5:6 (WEB) For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision amounts to anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith working through love.
