Chris is criticizing the documentary for athletes using andectodal evidence to support their claims of recovery on the vegan diet... and goes on to do exactly that to support claims of athletes feeling better after going back to animal protein.

Can feel my IQ lowering while listening to this. Please get Paul Chek on to discuss Nutrition: The Dirt Facts to discuss everything soil related. Western farming practices have not evolved in an environmentally sustainable manner, things desperately need to change in this area. The whole model of farm to city is tragic.

Thanks for balancing things out Joe and Chis! Game Changers had me going for a while... Had do to some homework😉 I will sincedy never believe that going all out on something, involving my health, is the way to go. In my view, just meat or just plant is not a healthy choice. Great interview, loved it!👍

as a meat eater this episode has officially ended my 3 year jre journey..... I'm all for opinions but this is straight up a joke. It's also funny that the only episode ever that won't play is the louie episode about game changers.

I am not vegan, but in comparing ok never mind, Roagan covered the livestock question, I had but what about reconstituted corn and soybean molecules, ie junk food, aka hydrogenated corni sn't that the most harmful type of food in every single way and in terms of LA what about farm skyscrapers? I know it won't cover 2 million, nowhere near according to a figure I heard, but then they were talking about Phoenix and the impossibility of ever making that city sustainable, period, unless the population was like 10,000.

The simple fact that Chris is an admitted, failed vegan, in a time when an increasing number of people are thriving on a properly balanced, whole foods, plant based diet speaks volumes to his credibility as an acupuncturist.. er uh, I mean Functional Medicine Practitioner. Why anyone would take the misinformation that he so commonly spreads as fact, when he can't even stack a properly balanced vegan diet, which has been confirmed by the World Health Organization as being suitable for all stages of life (including pregnancy) is beyond me. I agree that there is something to be said where replacing the need for a bulk of western medicine with better nutrition is concerned. But Joe needs to get a guest on here who is a little more knowledgeable and legit than Chris Kresser, who has a vested interest in selling the paid speaking gigs, books and supplements on his website that promote the kind of diet and lifestyle he is preaching. Follow the money to- https://store.chriskresser.com/ Anyone who is truly legit would tell people that there is no one size fits all diet for everyone. Joe is usually pretty good at calling bullshit when he hears it but I think that this guy speaks too much to his confirmation bias regarding diet and nutrition. Get Dr. Michael Greger @nutrition_facts on as a guest with Chris and let's get a healthy and evenly represented discussion about nutritional information going.

Oh man as a person who eats only whole foods, meat included. This is horse shit. Joe is the most biased person on earth. It reminds me of him talking about smoking weed “it doesn’t make anyone lazy! It’s good for you!” No it’s case by case? Joe can smoke weed. Cool. I know so many useless stoners 😂

My issue with Kresser is that he always comes up with technicalities to refute any study going against his position, then counters with his own studies showing the opposite, but somehow those studies are done perfectly?

Hi, good podcast and facts mentioned are trackable. Although there was lot of assumptions and pseudo science arguments also. I do not usually buy anything without supporting arguments with scientific facts. And yes, I am a meat eater. Have to say though, when you talked about industrial agriculture killing lot of animals, 2/3 of ALL crop farmed is going to be feed for livestock, so the killing of animals it is more due to meat eating than vegan diet. #meatlover and #avidhunter

Veganism isn't an accomplishment, it's an unnatural diet. Do what you want and manage your diet how you want but don't brag to others about how much meat you don't eat

diet is case by case. everybody's physiology is completely different. that's why diets dont work the same for everybody. and thats why people argue because the misconception is that everybody is the same and the foods are different... the truth is the science of food quality and quantity is spot on and static and human beings are the dynamic. not the other way around. if your body takes well to vegetables only that's on you. not the food. meat is higher protein...jesus this isnt even a debate. no vegetarian diet is going to show higher quality rotein content when compared to a 1:1 ratio with any vegetable. it's just that every humans body accepts certain foods better than others. its genetic. You cant discredit the science on meat eating.
