Joe Benincasa is President and CEO of The Actor’s Fund. His tireless work on behalf of the entire entertainment and performing arts community nationwide began in 1989. Joe took an organization mired in debt and transformed it into a formidable human service institution that offers emergency financial assistance and help with housing, health care and employment to more than 17,000 entertainment professionals a year. He is also President of the Actors Fund Housing Development Corporation which is building affordable, supportive and senior care residences for artists in major urban centers.
Joe Benincasa is the recipient of the 2014 Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre.
