This episode marks an Assembly of Silence first: I received an email request for a guest to appear on the show. At first I was somewhat suspicious because, well - that's the smart thing to be when you're contacted by unknown entities on the internet. Happily Kira and Informed are the real deal.

This conversation is the first of a series. The subject matter should be of great interest to anyone who “consumes content” - particularly those of us who do so with the goal of becoming better informed.

I encourage everyone to take a look at Informed's approach to media minimalism. Information overload is a critical problem (particularly at this juncture where the Cartesian Crisis is seeping into every corner of the information landscape). Perhaps the only way to manage this situation is to carefully select a quality filter. This will certainly be discussed in depth in future episodes of this series.
