Today’s word is: stimulate –The meaning of stimulate is to excite, to invigorate or to spark someone's interest. To create interest in someone for something. It could be an incentive or some kind of motivation.

A certain textile company was suffering from losses. The reason was, their employees would leave the company within a few months of joining. The management decided to implement some reforms and gave a salary increment to the existing employees. The company also increased the salary of the new recruits. The increase in pay stimulated the employees and the production increased. This helped the company to recover its losses within a few months of the reforms (changes for better results).

Example number 6 of 8: The college wanted to stimulate cultural exchange among students, hence, they opened admissions for students from overseas (living in foreign countries).


Example number 7 of 8: Chef Rajan is gaining popularity among food lovers. Do you know why? Well, he decorates his food/dishes with colourful vegetables and fruits to stimulate their visual senses.
