Alaska "gives away money" and they are a "red State" is an interesting theory. The money doesn't come from the government, it comes from the oil. universal basic income is different than what Alaska does.

Universal basic income is an interesting concept, but it's completely impractical. Implementing it would cost between 50 and 75% of our current national budget. we would have to increase our Revenue considerably to be able to even think about implementing a pilot program.

fresh mannn if you're talking about Andrew Yang's proposal, it's not feasible even then. any VAT that would be used to pay for Universal basic income would have to be much higher than any current vat in the world. No one knows what that would do to the economy

Nick Kerr Nick, have u looked more into the VAT + UBI? I hope it changed your mind and shows how practical and feasible this is.

Don't listen to the polls. Andrew is going to have a real upward bound trajectory - #Yang2020

Matthew DeJonge probably not. I see that you have a lot of enthusiasm, but the reality is that he still has very low name recognition. He doesn't have any major government experience, and he likely won't get a whole lot of time during the Democratic debates. Even if he is on stage, they tend to focus and give the questions on the major candidates like Biden and Warren. if anything, Yang's value is as a potential running mate.

I like Yang more than any other qualifying Democratic candidate. I hope he wins it all.
