"Nice" tends to be code for "do whatever you have to do to keep the peace." We don't want to raise our kids to be nice, rather, we want to help them get to know the Holy Spirit personally so that the fruit of the Spirit can flow out of their lives. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control are far superior to being nice.
