Psalm 42:1-11
Thirsting for God is the cry of a soul that feels distant yet refuses to give up on the God who gave life and sustains it. The psalmist pours out his sorrow, remembers past communion, faces present pain, and chooses to thirst for the living God above all else. Even when emotions falter and circumstances shake, the heart finds hope by looking to the God of my life and the God who is my Rock. This is the path back to strength and joy, a return not to feelings but to the presence of God who never moves.
