We in the United States are living in a rapidly growing missionary context. This is important to remember because the way we view evangelism and discipleship matters. There seems to be an understanding of evangelism and discipleship in the Church that puts limitations on both commands. John talks to Brad Briscoe about Bounded vs. Centered Set discipleship, and why those distinctions make a huge difference in our day-to-day discipleship.
Brad Brisco directs strategy development for the North American Mission Board. He holds a doctorate in missional ecclesiology; his thesis focused on assisting existing congregations to transition in a missional direction. He also serves on the national leadership team for Forge America Mission Training Network.
Brad is the co-author of Missional Essentials, a 12-week small group study guide, The Missional Quest: Becoming a Church of the Long Run, Next Door As It Is In Heaven, and Covocational Church Planting. You can connect with him on X @bradleybrisco and find his articles at missionalchurchnetwork.com.
