241 Project Smart & Safe with Henrik Holm and Victor Vikström (Swe)
Description
Today’s guests are Henrik Holm, Operations Coordinator and Business Developer at MittNät and Victor Vikström, system developer at Redpill Linpro. Since just a few months back, they installed a smart bench in Karlstad to increase perceived safety for kids and youths in public environments. The bench is loaded with tech in the form of a phone charger and light, as well as the ability for visitors to talk to the bench and ask questions. A project so successful, more benches are to be installed in other places.
Another part of the project is a further development of a Junior Achievement corporation (Swedish UF-företag) where location information is sent to a relative or a central by clicking a button installed in a scrunchie. At the same time, the street lights in the surrounding area are turned on.
