This week, Venus finishes her Scorpio journey with a series of aspects to eye-opening Uranus, idealistic Neptune, and powerful Pluto, then enters the wide-open spaces of Sagittarius; the Sun squares Mars on its way to a super spicy Aries Full Moon (descended from a high-powered 2023 eclipse); and a listener question about using a lunar phase template to work with transiting planets. [1:17 ] The Sun squares Mars on Oct. 14 (1:15 am PDT) at 21°28’ Libra-Cancer. Put yourself forward and take advantage of this assertive energy.
[2:48 ] Venus opposes Uranus on Oct. 14 (3:22 pm PDT) at 26°30’ Scorpio-Taurus. This can be a real eye-opener, bringing a fresh perspective about your relationships, money matters, and aesthetics.
[6:13 ] Venus trines Neptune on Oct. 15 (5:49 pm PDT) at 27°51’ Scorpio-Pisces. Venus is on Sabian symbol 28 Scorpio, The king of the fairies approaching his domain; Neptune is on 28 Pisces, A fertile garden under the Full Moon. A beautiful aspect for creating art, falling in love, experiencing the pleasant things in life.
[8:07 ] Moon Report! The Aries Full Moon (Oct. 17, 4:26 am PDT, 24°35’ Aries) pits the Sun and Moon against squares from Mars opposed Pluto – a high-powered, stressful configuration called a Cardinal Grand Cross.
[9:19 ] Cardinal Grand Crosses are stressful because all of the planets involved in the configuration want to do the same job: to initiate something. Mars opposed Pluto reveals power struggles.
[11:36 ] This is the Full Moon in a lunar phase family cycle (LPFC) that began on April 19, 2023, at a New Moon solar eclipse at 29º50’ Aries. The First Quarter Moon in this LPFC was on Jan. 17, 2024, and the Last Quarter is on July 17, 2025.
[13:11 ] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon periods. On Oct. 15 (1 pm PDT), the Moon in Pisces sextiles Pluto. It’s VOC for 34 minutes, then enters Aries (1:34 pm PDT). Go deeply into emotions.
[13:55 ] On Oct. 17 (12:26 pm PDT), the Moon squares Pluto. The Moon is VOC for 34 minutes, then enters Taurus (1 pm PDT).
[15:40 ] On Oct. 19 (12:33 pm PDT), the Moon in Taurus trines Pluto. It's VOC for 34 minutes and then enters Gemini (1:07 pm PDT). Take a moment to go outside and enjoy the crisp autumn air and changing leaves.
[16:43 ] Venus sextiles Pluto (Oct. 17, 5:30 am PDT) at 29°38’ Scorpio-Capricorn. The Sabian symbol for Venus is 30 Scorpio, The Halloween jester; Pluto’s is 30 Capricorn, A secret business conference. Laughter is the best medicine.
