27: Elisabet Margeirsdottir – Icelandic Ultrarunner + Winner of the Ultra Gobi 400km Race
Description
Elisabet Margiersdottir is an Iceland native whom is an accomplished ultra-runner. Elisabet left her comfort zone of the mountains and hill racing she was accustomed to for the 400 kilometer race across the Gobi desert in China. We discuss some of the challenges she encountered and the ways she embraced them. We also touched base on the fact that she has a full time job on top of her running career and what it takes to make it work. Racing for Elisabet helps her realize that you can push yourself (and have fun doing something crazy and tough) to do the impossible. She believes in setting one goal at a time, taking it easy, staying healthy and enjoying the journey.”
