27. Owning Your First Car: Brand New or Secondhand?

I share my personal journey of purchasing and owning a car. I want to advise all the first-time buyers out there, based on my experience. Buying brand new cars might seem appealing, but I strongly recommend considering secondhand vehicles for personal use. I made this choice when I bought my 2019 Hyundai Tucson on October 2020, avoiding the weight of monthly payments that come with new cars. Learning to drive and obtaining my license opened up new experiences, including a memorable long drive to Sarangani. Despite minor challenges, having a car proved incredibly convenient, especially during the pandemic. Later, as a birthday gift to myself, I purchased a 2019 Ford Ranger on February 2023, managing the cost through a staggered payment plan. My story underscores the practicality and responsibility that accompany car ownership. I hope my experiences inspire and encourage you to pursue your dreams and milestones.
