Description

On this week's episode of the Northeast Newscast, Publisher Michael Bushnell is joined by Officer Sutton Smith and Sergeant Deb Randol to discuss KCPD's First Impact training on March 31 and April 1. Teens aged 15-19 have the highest crash risk of any age group on the road. Teens are three times more likely to be involved in a fatal crash and the risk is highest during the first 30-90 days of independent driving. First Impact is a FREE 60-90 minute program to introduce parents to the risks their new teen drivers face and will provide parents with the tools to monitor, coach, and support their teen driver to reduce the risk of fatalities and injuries of teen drivers by 20-40%. The program is free but registration is required. Parents, Grandparents, Teens are all welcome.
