Title: The Lost Letters of Venice

Level: Intermediate (B2)

#Story :

During her vacation in Venice, Mia rents an old apartment near a quiet canal. One evening, she discovers a hidden bundle of love letters under the floorboards, written in the 1940s by a man named Luca to a woman named Elena. His words are filled with passion, longing, and plans to escape together. Intrigued, Mia searches for clues, which lead her to an old bridge once known as the Ponte delle Maravegie, where lovers used to meet in secret. There, she meets Sofia, an elderly woman who reveals herself as Elena’s niece and shares the tragic tale: Elena was forced into an arranged marriage and disappeared before she and Luca could escape. Mia feels an unexplainable connection to Elena and realizes she might be carrying her spirit. In a final, emotional act, Mia releases the letters and locket into the canal, completing the story and freeing their lingering love. As she leaves the bridge, she feels peace—knowing some love stories simply wait for the right soul to return.
