Description

To mark National Walking Month and Mental Health Awareness Week (18-24 May 2020),  we have a short interview with Shane O'Mara, Professor of Experimental Brain Research at Trinity College, Dublin.

In his book In Praise Of Walking, Shane goes deep into the science of why walking upright has not only given people an evolutionary advantage, but also plays an important part in how our bodies and brains function all day long.

Our Matthew recorded a short chat with Shane before his keynote address at our National Walking Summit in Manchester in March (pre-coronavirus outbreak).

You can also listen to Shane's full keynote presentation here - and we highly recommend it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMnM4buMSjw

Thanks again to Kieron Rees for the intro music - check out his Insta: www.instagram.com/kieronhipfire
