#34 Plant Medicine Talk with Jamaican Herbalist Oskii Chevanier
Plant medicine is nothing new to mankind. Indigenous people learned how to use herbs way back. Are these plants in danger of extinction as a result of increased usage? What happens to people that rely on them for food and religion?
To help answer the above questions is today’s guest; a 4th generation Jamaican herbalist, Oskii Chevanier. He is a plant-based nutritionist with a foundation rooted in the techniques passed down by his grandfather who passed at 103 years in 2010.
Dr. O and Oskii dived deep into all things plant medicine; including cannabis landrace and the danger it poses for the next generation. Oskii currently works with western-trained integrative clinicians interested not just in western medicine, but the ancient traditions in the management of diseases.
