I went to Akita's famous Kanto Festival and soaked up the energy, sweat, and magic of one of Japan’s biggest summer events. After that? I cooled down (or tried to) with a spicy cup of Tom Yum Kung instant noodles. A perfect mix of culture and comfort food.
