The Kirkbride Plan
Update: 2019-10-0848
Description
Today, there are more than a hundred abandoned asylums in the United States that, to many people, probably seem scary and imposing, but not so long ago they weren't seen as scary at all. Many of them were built part of a treatment regimen developed by a singular Philadelphia doctor named Thomas Story Kirkbride. Kirkbride was obsessed with architecture and how it could be harnessed therapeutically to cure people suffering from mental illness.

Roman's voice is the backbone as well as the well researched topics that Spurs my interest
As someone who actually has to take anti-depressants to live day to day, I heavily object to your anti-intellectual anti-medicine stint.
This episode was much more enjoyable than listening to Roman's voice. I fell in love with this podcast because of Roman's voice but somewhere along the way it's as if someone told him that people like boomy heavy bass vocals and he just forces it now. I hadn't enjoyed a 99pi episode like this in a while. Please have her host more episodes.
