About Tizita:

As Vice President of A&R at Pulse Music Group, Tizita Makuria discovers, shapes, and establishes a new vanguard of influential talent.

Tizita joins Pulse after 7 years at Artist Publishing & Partner Group (APG) where she was responsible for signing multi platinum phenomenon Bazzi, R&B siren Sabrina Claudio, and powerhouse production duo Rice N’ Peas. She’s also assisted in putting together big records for artists like Kehlani (Nights Like This ft. Ty Dolla $ign, and Jason Derulo (Lifestyle ft. Adam Levine) as well as work with in demand songwriters like Derrick Milano (Savage Remix - Meg The Stallion ft. Beyonce, Press - Cardi B).

She has quietly become a trusted tastemaker and rising executive. Variety included her among its 2018 Hitmakers, and she has spoken on various industry panels. However, a decidedly hands-on approach continues to distinguish her.

“To me, A&R is more than just scouting and identifying,” she says. “It goes beyond signing talent. I’m involved in the studio and focused on making the best records possible. That’s always the ultimate goal.”
