469 The Practice of Making Better Decisions with Special Guest Charlie Seraphin | 10 Minute Mindset
Charlie Seraphin is back on 10 Minute Mindset to talk about the practice of making better decisions, making better decisions consciously until we start to make them at the unconscious level, stories from the time he spent living at a monastery, and his passion for helping others by using experiences from his own life.
Charlie is a man of many talents. His values stem from the small town where he was born and raised.
He’s worked as a senior executive; at CBS News, Major League Baseball, the National Football League, the National Hockey League and Major League Soccer.
He’s been a college professor, jumped from an airplane and interviewed presidents, poets, celebrities, business leaders and philosophers. He lived with monks at a monastery and played nude volleyball at a nudist colony. He negotiated the release of innocent hostages from a deranged cult leader, and had lunch with President Reagan at the White House.
He’s managed large news operations and radio stations in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, and San Diego, and managed an NBA Development League basketball team in Tulsa. He lived and studied in London and spent a year writing on the Spanish island of Ibiza.
To say he’s come a long way from his parents’ mom and pop grocery store in Pine Lake, Wisconsin is an understatement.
Charlie graduated from Lawrence University with a degree in American Studies. As a reporter he covered thousands of news stories. Most recently he spent two and a half years researching decision-making for his popular book--One Stupid Mistake (published 9-11-2018).
He has spoken to audiences around the nation, and offers seminars on personal branding and making decisions. He and his wife Dianne have six adult children, four grandchildren and are proud to reside in beautiful Payson, AZ.
