Jim Rutledge and Matt Hamilton hold it down with Molly Brown away for the final day of her vacation. They share their opposite experiences consuming the Brewers blowout 9-3 win over the Cubs in Game 1 of the NLDS, and their shared suffering through the Badgers' loss at Michigan (more from that later...). They discuss the power position that the Brewers have put themselves in heading into Game 2 at Am Fam Field, and Jim declares that "it's an abject failure" if the Brewers end up losing this series! This leads to toda's first Siding Unlimited poll question, but only after Jim describes why he hungover from trick or treating at his family's campground Saturday afternoon, and was the Cubs pitching staff more hungover than he was? They ask their other Siding Unlimited poll question: What candy have you had the most but never actually purchased? They also debate Craig Counsell's decision to start Matthew Boyd on short rest for Game 1, who hates Counsell more -- Cubs fans or Brewers fans --, and Matt asks online, "hey Wisconsinites! do we Like less, chicago sports teams or the fans of chicago sports teams?" They wrap up Hour 1 reviewing their Don't Quote Me predictions from Friday's show, including their predictions for Brewers vs Cubs, NLDS Game 1 before transitioning to their predictions for the Badgers' 24-10 loss at Michigan.
