5 - people don't believe that we are disabled - collab with The ND Enbies Podcast
Description
buckle up and welcome to our chaotic, disability-ridden friendship >:)
I am joined by my bestie Gem Campbell, as we laugh & cry about how f*cked up our weirdly similar lives are
an equally casual and serious conversation about living with so-called "invisible" disabilities, garnished with some oversharing and inappropriate jokes. We talk about how our disabilities aren't actually invisible at all, and how much it hurts that the world around us constantly turns a blind eye to our struggles just because we appear 'healthy' at a glance
remember that other people don't get to decide whether you are disabled or not - you know your struggle better than anyone, and it is so valid. we see you xx
Gem's deets are listed below!! Their work is so incredibly unique & vulnerable - everyone needs a bit of Gem in their life. Gem (they/them) is a qualified Dietitian, Nutritionist & Sexologist! They work with people to strip back the layers of societal conditioning and shame, especially when it comes to period empowerment and sexual healing. Check them out and I'm sure you'll fall in love their quirky content too!
Let's support our self-employed queer, neurodivergent & disabled folk
happy listening, and let's get weird
