the sheriff fails a polygraph test the sheriff gives excuses for not wanting to take the polygraph test but the sheriff at the same time would have done this to any other citizen and screamed in his face that he failed so he was guilty

State's attorney people just whipping their polygraph machine around...
Doesn't that make them seem really amateur? They're just trying to see who they can bully a confession out of, true or not.

how convenient: call it a run away adult and wipe your hands of it. call it a suicide, but then why are you bringing full court press on the family? this sheriff had to know it was a homicide from day 1 🤔 it's the only reason things went this far. so how did he know it was a homicide? why did he deflect for all that time? have other families of victims of suicide been treated like this by law enforcement? is it illegal to have a family member complete suicide? maybe....because he knew it wasn't a suicide? anyway, good podcast. TX monthly is great.

I'm sorry, like it's sad and everything but at this point in the story I just don't trust the mom. idk. the investigator and sheriff suck too but shes just not 100
