60 - Elliott Gunn. Constantly current *TEASER*
Description
You guys, buckle up. This is our first attempt to record in english. It only took us 60 episodes to get to the point where we are comfortable enough to flop now - think later. And hopefully learn along the way. And become better. Please be kind!
Our first guest is wonderful Elliott Gunn - street photographer first, but also a knight (doing lighting and other crew bits) to keep up with the prices of film and self publishing his first zine.
We talk about not rushing into success, slowly building body of work, enjoying life on the way, and (sadly) not making money of street photography. It’s more of an addiction. A good one though, as it does lead to a dream career. But how long does it take? And what does it take to make and recognise a good picture? What it’s like to figure out yourself as a photographer? Parakeets might help!
We cannot help ourselves but compare street and fashion photography (which we were or are a part of): goals, methods and communities and where we feel the differences the most.
We talk numbers and thinking process behind Elliott’s now completely sold out first zine and its presentation in Record28.
