She was tripping on her words
That person "Luftus" who wrote the article, who violated Nicole was a douchbag. She just basically did what she wanted to do and refused to acknowledge Nicole's rights. I'm sorry but this is unacceptable, as Nicole was traumatized all over again. Sheesh.
This episode was interesting, entertaining, and thankfully...not political. Thank-you This American Life. - From a Canadian listener.
I have blanki, just like Gary. I'm 37 and I also hide it in things when I travel so I can have it with me. My partner is really worried about how I'll cope when it eventually falls apart.
Katherine Williams I had my blankie until I was 28. I lost it when we moved and it was devastating. I still miss it
laughing at the song choice for the Act I outro 😆😆😆 good job, guys.
Loftus sounds like a horrible human being.
H. Heath And more than that, her behavior validates those people who would love nothing more than for people to not believe victims of abuse. So aside from the immediate unethical nature of her behavior and the damage she has done in this particular case, she has done serious damage on a far bigger scale by giving a "scientific" basis to the dismissal of abuse surviors' testimony.
Paul Gales Who said anything about being excused? Just you. That's not that point at all of my comment. My point is for the people in these comments making judgments to get off their fucking high horses and stop pretening like this lady is somehow worse than them. That includes you, Mr. Gales. Put your feet back on the ground and find a mirror to look into and remember when you were less than stellar, remember that you've brought pain on yourself as well, and remember that you didn't need some person on the intenret making poorly considered and categorical judgments on who you are as a person because of a mistake or error you made. Think about it: the person without sin wouldn't throw a stone in the first place.
Man. MAJOR kudos to those in the profession that have to hear that stuff from kids.
