The occasion: Wayfinding: Future Thinking, a symposium taking place on 18 September 2025 at The Building Centre in Bloomsbury, London — co-organised by the Sign Design Society and SEGD as part of the London Design Festival.

The symposium explores key themes shaping the future of the wayfinding industry: smart cities, multisensory and inclusive design, personalised navigation in the age of agentic AI, and the role of sustainable materials and behavioural data. Presentations by Alison Richings, Ángel Sánchez, Nadine Smith, Simon Borg, Luca Ballarini & Marta Doria, and Peter Reynolds offer a diverse mix of perspectives and approaches.
