This is a story about a little girl named Lucy, her brother Lucan, and their pet rabbit Duncan who go on an adventure in the forest. They get lost, and a kind old woman tells them the story of a witch who was turned into a tree by an evil sorcerer. The children find the tree and defeat the sorcerer in a magical duel to free the witch. The witch asks them to gather magical ingredients to regain her full power, and in return, she helps them find their way home. She leads them to a magical wishing well, where Lucy, Lucan, and Duncan make wishes that come true. Lucy gets a new dress, Lucan gets a new toy, and Duncan gets all the carrots he can eat.
