We are back on the planet Sel and up at the Rose Empire. The Emperor Ashravan has been injured in an assassination attempt and is now brain dead. Shai is a Soul Forger and she was arrested. She is now tasked with Forging a new soul for the Emperor within 100 days or else she will be executed. Also, some people in power are planning on executing Shai anyways so she has to find a way to escape as well.
