"This American Life" seems to be a sect of credulous vocal-fried Millenial New Yorkers who catastrophize and vaguely hyperbolize with despondency. It should be renamed "Feats of Croaked Apathy".
I had to stop listening because of turning it into a red vs blue issue at the beginning instead of being scientific. Somebody please tell me that this is not the tone of the entire podcast.
Smoker: I don't want a vaccine, I'm afraid of the long term affects.
I'm sitting here crying because of how I have been forced to see our communities and America through this pandemic. Through this eyes wide open forced view, a big essence of who I thought was has changed; what has given way to what was held back through cracked foundations. I do not care to change republican minds. I do not care if they get the vaccine. I do not care if they choose to give the virus to their families. I don't want to beg, plead, or learn how to reason with them. just so undone by the hatred, selfishness, and cruelties .
