Description

This is a longer episode than normal because there was just so much to cover on this topic. So this is a big one in terms of content and impact - and you know I'm all about creating impact.

In this episode I share with you a brief history of PRIDE, why we see a lot of rainbow flags this time of year and why this is not also a good thing.  I dive into what it means to be a performative ally - and why that's not the type of ally we want to be.

We want to be intentionally inclusive allies - not just to our LGBTQI+ friends and colleagues, and certainly not only in June - so in this episode I share 7 very practical ways you can be an active intentionally inclusive ally today. In fact by the time you have finished listening to this episode, you will already be being an active ally. So stick around to the end to find out which ally are you.

As I said there is a lot of valuable content included in this episode - if you're a visual learner and you want a written overview of what's discussed in todays episode, then click on this blog link for a written overview.

In the episode I mention an additional resource which is designed to help you create inclusive meetings and in this resource you'll find more examples of how to be an active intentionally inclusive ally during meetings - you can find out more about that here.

And finally  if you would like to receive our FREE complete PRIDE resource pack or you have any questions about the content covered today, please drop me an email at hello@diversity-doctor.com
