We like our stories to have a villain? How about our national obsession with teachers as unqualified heroes? Teachers are great, my kids go to public school. But in most states they are generously compensated and can retire with a full pension in as early as their 50s, some 20 years before us non-public servants.

Sean Noonan 'Congratulations. You qualify to have your loan,' that wasn't a loan, 'converted back...' !!! Gimme a break. Talk about wording things away. Do teachers really get such tiny amounts for teaching kids in USA? In Australia I started on the equivalent of twice that amount. Oh... of course... the land of the free teachers. Nationwide strike for a couple of weeks. You are being ripped off.

Sean Noonan did you actually even listen to the story? Those teachers being paid well are irrelevant to this story.

That's so messed up that the "fixing this" letter basically says "congratulations for all the stress we have caused you, just kidding you didn't do anything wrong!" 😡 Teachers deserve way more than that!
