Today I'm sharing the story of my second pregnancy and home birth, one that started as a "wild pregnancy," full of questions, unlearning, and healing.
I talk about wrestling with my overly romanticized idea of free birth and the big, scary questions that come with unassisted birth like, what if something goes wrong? What if I could have prevented it?
As my pregnancy progressed I slowly forged my own path somewhere in the middle and learned a LOT about myself along the way.
It all led to the most perfect, redemptive, and healing midwife-assisted birth.
This one's for the moms wanting more autonomy in pregnacy and birth but still questioning what kind of birth is right for them. Where's the line between intuition and safety, control and trust?
