A Calling to Serve: Suzanne's Journey with the A.R.E. Prison Program
Update: 2025-11-19
Description
On this episode of New Awakenings with Edgar Cayce's A.R.E., hosts Karen and Will welcome Suzanne, the Prison Services Coordinator at the A.R.E. Suzanne shares how the program builds bridges of hope and compassion for incarcerated individuals through mentorship, study groups, and access to Cayce's work. With the help of dedicated volunteers, every prison guest is paired with a mentor, letters are carefully processed, and donated books are stamped and sent to prison libraries across the country. Many inmates also send artwork and reflections, which Suzanne features on the podcast as a reminder of the beauty that emerges when connection and service meet.
For Suzanne, who first discovered the A.R.E. as a teenager, this work is more than a role—it is a calling. After a diverse career and raising her family, she felt drawn back to the organization to help extend the wisdom and compassion of the Cayce material to those who need it most.
